Katie is a Health and Wellness Coach, HWC, USAT with more than 10 years of experience in family and adolescent health, life goals, strength coaching, and general fitness. She's raced over 100 triathlons along with trail races and endurance events across North America, the Caribbean, and Europe.
She works with individual clients as well as groups across all fitness levels, ages, physical conditions, and backgrounds . Her coaching style is direct and relatable building habits with you to move the needle. She loves the work and wants clients to find their own strength and become the best version of themselves. Years spent as both an athlete and a coach show up in guidance that's honest, compassionate, and gets real results. Change is possible.
When she isn't coaching or training, Katie is on her farm and in her garden in the Hudson Valley with her husband, daughters, and a growing number of animals. She grows and harvests much of her own food and believes in the benefits of farm-to-table living. Home, for Katie, means a meal on the stove, a book or podcast going, and time with family and friends around great food.
ACHIEVING WELLNESS
IS WITHIN REACH

Katie’s Philosophy on Health & Wellness Coaching -- Change is possible.
Getting healthier is possible, and feeling better can start with one step. The gap between wanting something and actually doing it is where coaching does its work.
One-on-one Health & Wellness Coaching built around your life-your pace toward goals that matter to you.
Build habits across every part of wellness: how you eat, your weight, exercise, stress, relationships, and your spiritual life.
Better balance between work, family, and rest. Gets you clear on your goals, your dreams, and your plans in every area of living, from love and family to recreation, spirituality, and work.
Time management and organization. Gets you exercising in the first place and keeps you consistent once you've started.
Build physical strength and conditioning. Health and Wellness Coaching puts you in a position to get real traction on your life goals. It's a strong tool for moving through the ambivalence and fear of change that we all struggle with. We want something, then we retreat. We dream, then we doubt the dream.
Coaching pushes you past that and into action, through accountability that's both internal and external, and through realistic goals and the discipline to keep after them.
Most of us have a vision for what we want our life to look like but struggle to put that vision into words, let alone into something we can practice on a Tuesday morning.
Coaching helps you name the life you want and gives you the everyday tools to get there, so the future you've been picturing actually shows up.
COACH KATIE

STRENGTH & ENDURANCE COACHING
I've been racing and coaching triathlons in New York and beyond for over 20 years, everything from small tri-state races to national and international events. What I love is helping athletes at every level set a goal and get there, using an approach that comes out of real racing rather than theory alone.
I'm a triathlete. I'm also a mother and a wife, and keeping all of that upright is a gift I want to pass along, with instruction and a lot of honest know-how. Racing well takes skill, a sense of humor, and the ability to forgive yourself when a day goes sideways.
I'll help you train smart. As I once heard, "a bike is only as good as its rider". Gear and effort matter less than efficiency. We fix your imbalances and bad habits first, then we train.
That means making the most of what you're already good at and putting real work into what you aren't. It means technique, the gear you actually need instead of the gear you've been told to want, fueling in a way that holds up on race day, and the strength and mobility work that fits your body.Over 20 years in the sport I've finished All American in USAT nearly every year I've competed, and ranked in the top 5% of my age group. I've represented the USA at multiple World Championships and won or podiumed in more than 35 races. That includes six age-group wins at Survival of the Shawangunks, where I hold the female bike record, and a 10th-place finish at Escape from Alcatraz.

I love cold-water swimming, and honestly any water, and the Northeast has no shortage of great races and friendly competition. Come set a goal with me.
My own racing taught me what strength training, lateral movement, recovery, and rest are worth. That balance is why I've raced injury-free for years, and why I continue to race fast. I've built a strength program that fits alongside your swim, bike, and run volume, with bricking, mobility, and yoga or meditation, so you can hit your goals. The strength carries past the finish line into ordinary life, turning obstacles into bumps in the road and helping you age well. You'll learn to push past your comfort zone, because that's where the growth is.

"Thank you Katie for being such a pleasure to work with. You are an amazing coach and athlete who conducts yourself in such a professional manner. You are very knowledgeable in all three disciplines . You taught me the importance of rest and nutrition recovery and your amazing strength training changed my world. I also appreciate that you know how to strike a balance between when to offer your opinion and when to stand back.

"Katie is my favorite and quite honestly the best coach ever; I brought her to my new club even though it's across the Atlantic. She has such devotion and understanding for her athletes. After having two beautiful babies she inspired me more that you can do it all and do it well. I appreciate her knowledge of technique and all feedback she shares. I'll never forget how she showed up before everyone for a winter long run in below freezing conditions with fresh cookie bombs for all...and she rode her bike from BK!"

"My partner and I were very lucky to find this gem of a coach and overall super human. Katie has successfully helped us to set goals and not only achieve them but to realize our full potential. She was able to correct form not only in the water but running and taught us a beautiful technique to link the two disciplines. Her knowledge of nutrition and overall life balance is priceless. I wholeheartedly recommend her across the board."
